Working in Oakland
Do you work in the Oakland hills as well as the flats?
Yes. Hillside work usually means access planning, deck and retaining structure, and drainage. We handle all three, and we'll tell you up front if a site needs equipment access we have to arrange.
My Oakland bungalow still has knob-and-tube. Is that urgent?
It's worth addressing. The wiring has no ground, the insulation gets brittle with age, and insurers increasingly ask about it. Replacing it with grounded copper is a straightforward upgrade we do regularly.
Can you do exterior painting on a house this close to the neighbors?
Yes — tight side yards are normal in Oakland. We mask, protect the neighboring property, and work the narrow runs by hand rather than spraying where overspray would carry.
