01Overview
A 1920s bungalow in Oakland or an Edwardian in San Francisco was never designed for an induction range, a heat pump, an EV charger and a home office. When breakers trip, outlets get warm, or half the kitchen goes dark at the same time, that's the house telling you.
We handle repairs, added circuits, panel upgrades and whole-house rewiring. The work that matters most is the least visible: replacing old fuse boxes and outdated breaker panels with modern systems that can handle today's appliance loads, and pulling out brittle knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring in favor of grounded copper.

How do I know if my panel needs upgrading?
Common signs: a fuse box instead of breakers, breakers that trip when two appliances run together, no room left for new circuits, or scorch marks and warmth at the panel. Any of those is worth a look.
What's wrong with knob-and-tube wiring?
It has no ground, the insulation gets brittle with age, and it wasn't designed to be buried in modern insulation. Replacing it with grounded copper is one of the highest-value safety upgrades in an older home.
Can you add circuits for a new kitchen?
Yes. Dedicated circuits for the range, dishwasher, disposal and countertop outlets are part of how we rough in a kitchen remodel.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Panel upgrades and rewiring are permitted work in most Bay Area cities. We'll tell you what your jurisdiction requires as part of the estimate.
